Here’s your checklist for the week with details below:

Volunteering

First and foremost, thank you for your continued support throughout the season. Your time and dedication are what make our swim team a success. Each home meet relies on over 50 volunteers, and we could not run them smoothly without your help.

As a reminder, each family is required to complete a total of four volunteer commitments: preferably three during the regular season and one at Champs. This expectation was clearly communicated at the start of the season. If you only did 2 during the regular season, then sign up for 2 at Champs. If you did 4 during the regular season, you are set.

Not participating in meets or Champs does not exempt anyone from the volunteer requirement. This is a team effort, and we depend on every family to do their part.

Let’s finish the season strong—together. Jobs for Champs are now open. Please sign up for jobs at Champs by Tuesday, July 8. You can also hire a helper or find someone to volunteer for you.

City of Wyoming - 4th of July Parade: Calling all Wyoming Seadragon Families - join us in the City of Wyoming 4th of July Parade. Wear your Seadragon spirit wear and we will parade with our Red, White and Blue. Swimmers and their families can all walk! Most creative and spirited will win a gift card to Cowboy Cones! This year's parade theme is "Hot Diggity All American Dogs"! Let us know if you can make it by committing to the event like you do a swim meet. Participants can bring candy to give out to parade spectators.

9:30am - Meet at the Village Green.

10am - Parade begins - The parade will line up on Oak Avenue, then go west on Wyoming Avenue, north on Springfield Pike, east on Wentworth Avenue, south on Burns Avenue and then east on Wyoming Avenue. After the parade, an award ceremony will take place at the Village Green.

Swim Meets next week

LAST meet at Springdale Tuesday, July 8 @Springdale Rec Center 11999 Lawnview Ave

Please declare your swimmer by July 5th or email the coaches at [email protected] if you miss the deadline.

Arrival time: 5:15

Warm-ups: 5:30

Meet start: 6:00

• More information will be sent directly to those swimming in the meet.

Champs

The coaches need to know who will be attending Champs by July 5th. Please declare your swimmer today! We would love to have the biggest turnout yet at Champs representing the Seadragons!

Coach Jen will send out more information about Champs, but here is an overview that I sent out a few weeks ago.

Junior Seadragon Meet & Breakfast of Champions

All Junior Seadragons will participate in an end of season meet just for them. Older swimmers will time. Come cheer on the Juniors! After the swim meet, we will have a small breakfast as we get ready for Champs! Please RSVP if your swimmer will be attending so we can plan for food and drinks! If you already signed up, would you mind doing it one more time? Thank you!

Modified Schedule for July 11

7:00am - 8:30am: 13 year old and over practice

7:30am - 8:30am: 11-12 year olds practice

8:15am - 9:00am: All kids 10 and under (8 and under, 9-10) Practice

9:00-9:15 - Juniors warm-up

9:15-9:45 - Juniors meet (older swimmers will serve as timers)

9:45-10:15 – Breakfast for swimmers

End of Season Celebration

Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly for food, drinks and help!
