Hello Seadragons!

We have an amazing team and I appreciate how supportive everyone is for all swimmers and families. Seeing kids congratulate each other at the end of a race or cheer them up after a swim that didn’t go so well or making new friendships that carry over into the school year are just a few things about what makes this team special. Thank you for sharing your swimmers with us this summer!

This will be quite a long weekly message as it will contain all you need to know for the rest of the season. A message about Champs will be sent directly to those participating in Champs tonight or tomorrow after final details from the host team are shared.

Junior Seadragon Meet and Breakfast of Champions (modified practice schedule)

Please RSVP if your swimmer will be attending so we can plan for food and drinks!

If your swimmer also attends camp, please notify their counselor of the schedule change. They also receive the emails, but we want to make sure no one misses the last practice of the season!!

7:00am - 8:30am: 13 year old and over practice

7:30am - 8:30am: 11-12 year olds practice

8:15am - 9:00am: All kids 10 and under ( 8 and under, 9-10) practice

9:00-9:15 - Juniors warm-up

9:15-9:45 - Juniors meet (older swimmers will serve as timers)

9:45-10:15 – Breakfast for swimmers

Thank you to all of the parents who have signed up to volunteer at the breakfast and for those who have donated items for the breakfast!

Please gather and help cheer on all of our Junior Seadragons!

End of the Season Celebration

Our end of the season celebration will be on Wednesday, July 16 at 6:30 at the Wyoming Civic Center! (6:30 food and socializing, 7:30 awards). We’re asking the families in attendance to contribute by bringing an appetizer or dessert to share and your own beverage. Awards, Medals, and Ribbons will be distributed. Let us know if you can be there and add a note to let us know how many family members can attend so we can plan. RSVP here>.

Gift to Coaches

Our Coaches (Jen, Suzanne, Maggie, Joe, Olivia, Bella, Lola and Leo) did an outstanding job working with our swimmers. If you’d like to contribute to a group gift card to the Coaches as a special thanks, you can give Jen Vojtko Rubí cash or check during Champs or Venmo @Jen-VojtkoRubi by Wednesday, July 16 at noon so we can present a gift card to the coaches at the celebration.

Special shout out and thanks to the volunteers on the Parent Board and other special roles with the team!
