Week 8 (July 15 - July 17) Wyoming Seadragons - Summer Swim Season 2024

This is the last week of our Seadragon season! I hope everyone loved watching our Juniors show off their skills and confidence at our Friday Seadragon meet and Breakfast of Champions. I’m excited to have over one hundred swimmers at Champs! We have a great team and we will have terrific swims! A separate message from Coach Jen went to Families attending Champs yesterday (Saturday). So this has all the information outside of Champs.

Here are your end of Season Reminders:
[] End of Season Celebration
[] Gift to Coaches
[] Pictures to share
[] Family Survey
[] Other Swim opportunities
[] Parent Board Volunteer Thank yous
[] League Officials Needed

End of the Season Celebration – Our end of the season celebration will be on Wednesday, July 17 and we are at the POOL! The pool closes to the public at 5:00pm and will reopen for our team at 5:30pm. Dinner will begin service at approximately 6:30pm. The main part of dinner will be on the Seadragons, Tacos from Tortilleria Garcia! Our Jr. Seadragon families will supply the desserts and juice boxes for the kids. We’re asking families in attendance to contribute to the meal by bringing a dish to share - appetizers, salads, and your own beverage. Awards, Medals, and Ribbons will be distributed. Let us know if you can be there and add a note to let us know how many family members can attend so we can plan. In the event of bad weather, the rain location is at the Civic Center and we will have a modified schedule (6:30 dinner, 7:30 awards). We will make a just in time announcement if we need to change our plans. RSVP here>

Gift to Coaches: Our Coaches did an amazing job working with our swimmers. If you’d like to contribute to a group gift card to the Coaches as a special thanks, you can give April or Rich cash or check during Champs or Venmo @April-Robles-2 by Wednesday, July 17 at noon so we can present a gift card to the coaches at the celebration

Do you have pictures to share from Practices and Meets? We don’t have a team photographer again, but we have lots of families taking pictures and videos that might be willing to share. Feel free to upload them to our Wyoming Seadragons - 2024 Season photo album. To be included in our end of the season slideshow, please upload by Wednesday, July 17 at noon.

The team picture and individual/sibling/friend pictures will be available for download from our shared photo album. You can print at your favorite picture printing location. Individual/sibling/friend pictures taken will have download/rights to print and will accept monetary donations to the Seadragons (Venmo @April-Robles-2).

Family Feedback: Feedback from all of our Families is very important. Help us improve the Wyoming Seadragon program. Please fill out this survey by Friday, August 2 - Family Survey>>

Future of Wyoming Seadragons– We are looking for parents and family members to step up for the future of the swim team. Please reach out to April and let’s chat to see how we can use your talents for the team!

League Officials Needed: Our league is in need of Officials to become certified. There is a special training that will be in October. The Seadragons can help take care of fees for certification if you are interested. Another benefit of going through the certification is being eligible to get paid to work middle school/high school meets and other area swim meets. Reach out if you are interested in getting certified.

On to Champs! Good luck to all our Seadragons!
THANKS!
-April
