Championships – We have 105 swimmers going to champs! Coach Jen will send a more comprehensive message to the families attending after we have our league meeting on Wednesday.
- Volunteers are Needed – a big endeavor like Champs need all families who have swimmers in the meet to assist. Wyoming is responsible to provide volunteers for Timers/Backup Timers and Relief. We have slots for every session. We are prioritizing with families who have not fulfilled their family volunteer responsibility. For those who have already fulfilled their responsibilities and you are interested in helping, please sign up to assist or if you’d like to contribute to hiring a teen, we’ve typically paid teens $40 per volunteer session (since it’s not at our home pool). Venmo contributions to @April-Robles-2
End of the Season Celebration – Our end of the season celebration will be on Wednesday, July 17 and we are at the POOL! The pool closes to the public at 5:00pm and will reopen for our team at 5:30pm. Dinner will begin service at approximately 6:30pm. The main part of dinner will be on the Seadragons, Tacos from Tortilleria Garcia! Our Jr. Seadragon families will supply the desserts and juice boxes for the kids. We’re asking families in attendance to contribute to the meal by bringing a dish to share - appetizers, salads, and your own beverage. Awards, Medals, and Ribbons will be distributed. Let us know if you can be there and add a note to let us know how many family members can attend so we can plan. RSVP here>.
Gift to Coaches: Our Coaches did an amazing job working with our swimmers. If you’d like to contribute to a group gift card to the Coaches as a special thanks, you can give April or Rich cash or check during Champs or Venmo @April-Robles-2 by Wednesday, July 17 at noon so we can present a gift card to the coaches at the celebration.
Help Support an up and coming swim team!
My name is Amanda Snyder and I am the proud parent of Wyoming Seadragon Coach and Swimmer, Joe Snyder. I am also a Spanish teacher at Western Hills University High School and headed into my 5th year of teaching there (my 11th year overall). Two years ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to start a school swim team. (Read more about the team’s recognition) I have a lot to do as we continue building our swim team so I am reaching out for your help. I am in need of gently used/new items such as goggles, swimsuits, towels, swim caps etc. My students/swimmers are high school aged students who want to learn how to swim and be part of the school swim team so any help getting us started with what we need to be successful would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to grow the team each year. If you have any questions you can email me at [email protected]. If you would prefer to donate money instead of gently used or new items, you may venmo me at @Amanda-Snyder-14. I greatly appreciate your assistance and support as I work to build my school swim team.
Sincerely,
Amanda Snyder
