Week 5 (June 24 - June 30) Wyoming Seadragons - Summer Swim Season 2024
Somehow we are already halfway through the season! We love to see the team spirit and sportsmanship of our kids and the families hanging out around the pool during practices and the meets. Jen and her coaching team have done a great job with our swimmers. You can see the pride they have in all our swimmers. We are all looking forward to the improvements as go into the last half of the season. Congrats to some of our Junior Seadragons that have been invited to start swimming in our meets. They are SO adorable and brave! What a great accomplishment! These accomplishments will help us build towards great swims for Championships.

Volunteer Requirements
Going into the last half of the season, we appreciate everyone pitching in and completing your family volunteer requirements (3 per family requirement). Please sign up to volunteer if you haven’t already or reach out if you need help to fulfill your volunteering responsibilities. We have a collection of teenagers that you can pay to stand in for you. They make great timers and it’s a win win for everyone. You’re your own arrangements directly with these helpers for hire. Please be sure to pass along any specific communication regarding your volunteer slot. Contact Parent Volunteer if you have any questions - Jen Rubi, [email protected].
Meets and Ribbons
If your kids haven’t figured it out already, there are family files that contain ribbons awarded from the meets they have swam in. Typically these will be available the day after a meet. Some families had questions about scoring at the meets. We’ve provided additional information on the site if you’d like to know the technical side of scoring and placing at the swim meets. If you have questions that the coaches can help with, feel free to reach out at [email protected].
Do you have pictures to share from Practices and Meets?
We don’t have a team photographer again, but we have lots of families taking pictures and videos that might be willing to share. Feel free to upload them to our Wyoming Seadragons - 2024 Season photo album.
11 and Overs Kayaking
We’re looking forward to a fun trip down the river on our annual Kayaking trip for the 11 and overs. Please RSVP and make your own reservation through Scenic River Canoe.
Future of Wyoming Seadragons– We are looking for parents and family members to step up for the future of the swim team. Now is a great time to learn and shadow in a variety of ways. I also have a rising Senior on the team who will be graduating in 2025, so I'll be busy crying and taking in all their "lasts". Please reach out to April and let’s chat to see how we can use your talents for the team!
