First "Official" Home Meet Wrap Up
Good evening all!
We just finished our first official home meet against Norwood tonight. The meet went really smooth and all of our swimmers did amazing! Thank you to ALL of our volunteers. A lot of work goes into hosting a meet and we would not be able to have one without you. Thank you to our parent board, timers, officials, wranglers, hospitality, concessions and our meet admins. You are all amazing.
We have a couple of highlights from tonight.
JUNIORS: We had some Juniors swim in their first meet ever! They did so well. We are so incredibly proud of how much they have grown in short time we have worked with them. We cannot WAIT to see what the rest of the season will bring and how many more we can get to compete. Those that swam tonight can sign up for meets going forward. This does include Thursdays Meet against Evendale. If you are not able to sign up, please let us know so that we can get you in.
The meet ran really smooth! You are all getting the hang of getting to where you need to be at the right time. I am loving how much all of you are learning and growing! Keep it up!
We had some first time event swims tonight and some first time LEGAL swims. This entire team has done really well with improving their strokes and making sure that they take notes with what the coaches say after their races.
There are a few things that we need to work on as an entire team. The coaches made a lot of notes of what our next couple weeks of practices are going to entail. Some clues are goggle-less practices, diving, turns, relay starts, STREAMLINES, and whistle commands.
Now for Thursday, we are AT Evendale. This has always been our rival meet and this year its even more. This is where CHAMPS is at. So we have the benefit of going to compete at the same pool. If you haven't already committed, please do so or let us know ASAP.
I think that is all for now. Your coaches and I are so proud of all of our swimmers. They are improving and growing so fast! Can't wait to see you guys at practice!
Coach Jen
