Thanks for a great start to practices! It was wonderful to see all the swimmers, coaches and families! The meet with our friends on the Wyoming Swordfish went really well and it was fun to bring our Wyoming Community together.

Upcoming Swim Meets
Our first League Swim Meet is on Tuesday, June 14. We do have a change in venue and this will be a home meet with Greenhills. We are helping our neighbors since their pool is currently out of commission with a pump issue. A couple of reminders:

• The deadline to declare your swimmer for the Tuesday, June 14 Greenhills meet is Saturday, June 11. It makes it difficult for the coaches if they have to follow up with families after the deadline to make their line up for the meet in a timely manner. SwimTopia> Login (upper right)>Click on the Green Button “Meet Entry Open” You can edit your swimmers.  (Junior Seadragons will not swim in scheduled meets until they receive their invitation from the Coaches and they feel they are ready)
• If you need some pointers on how to prepare for a swim meet, please check out some of these tips
• We are working with Greenhills on how we will staff the meet, more information will be forthcoming when we get those details ironed out.
• If something comes up and you cannot make it to a swim meet that you have already declared your swimmer for, please let the coaches know ASAP. This is especially important because of relays. If one swimmer does not show up for a relay, there will be three other disappointed swimmers that can’t swim the relay. Call or text Coach Jen at 513-335-0916.

Family volunteer requirements and opportunities

Each family must sign up for 3 volunteer worker positions at one of our home meets, away meets, or team events. All volunteer slots for the season are available online and each event needing volunteers has a “Job Signup open” button. We’ve designated specific volunteer slots for only Junior Seadragon families. If you would like to hire a teen to work your volunteer slot, there is a list and you can make arrangements directly with those teens. https://wyomingseadragons.swimtopia.com/helpers-for-hire

Spirit Wear on Sale
Show your team spirit and get your spirit wear! Shirts, tank tops, hoodies, joggers, etc. for the whole family will be available for purchase during the Fun Friday practice from 9am to 10am. Cash, check or credit will be accepted. Questions? Contact Verna Donavan, [email protected].

Team Picture Day – Friday, June 17th
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 17 for Seadragon Team Picture Day. Our big group picture (ALL age groups) will be from 9 - 9:15am. Try to wear your team suit or other black/navy suit. Individual/sibling/friend pictures will be both before and after the group picture and sign ups are open. Everyone will receive a digital copy of the group picture that you can print at your favorite picture printing location. Individual/sibling/friend pictures taken will have download/rights to print and will accept monetary donations to the Seadragons.
